The Secret Order of Forests -See the gallery below
At first glance, a forest can seem like nothing more than a tangle of branches, trunks and foliage. A vegetal chaos in which the eye struggles to find a point of focus. Yet if we slow down for a moment, a subtle order begins to emerge. Lines echo one another, shapes find their balance, stories intertwine.
It is this hidden order that fascinates me.
In the wildest forests, where nature expresses itself freely, there is a joyful sense of exuberance and abundance. Trees twist and bend in search of light, moss carpets the trunks, vines cling to the branches. Every element seems to follow its own logic while contributing to a larger picture.
It is a physical sensation, an organic profusion in which it is impossible to know what matters most: the detail or the whole.
Photographing such environments is a challenge. While a structured landscape readily reveals its lines and composition, the dense forest resists. The camera often struggles to convey the richness, depth and complexity of what is experienced in the field.
It is precisely this difficulty that draws me in. Seeking harmony within disorder. Revealing rhythms, correspondences and hidden balances. Translating into images this feeling of abundance, where every glance uncovers a new story.
Today, I invite you to explore some of the forests that have left a lasting impression on me: the mysterious woods of Sintra in Portugal, the ancient forests of Kyoto in Japan, the wild landscapes of Tasmania, the legendary woodlands of Brocéliande, the tropical forests of Zanzibar and the windswept trees of Ireland....
Welcome to these vegetal cathedrals, where disorder becomes poetry.
