La Colline-Chamonix

“The hill that thought it was a mountain” — that was a comment left by an internet user.
I kept the title; it fits this image perfectly: the meeting between an anonymous little serac at La Jonction (along the Mont Blanc ascent route via the Grands Mulets) and a glacier specialist, François Damilano, more accustomed to 8,000-meter peaks than to hills.

No feat, no performance — yet this slightly dreamlike image went on to appear on the covers of several books and magazines.
