Mount Huang Shan, the most revered mountain in China, has played a major role in the history of Chinese art and literature .
According to a legend dating back to the year 747, the elixir of immortality was discovered on this mountain.

Slender granite peaks, improbably shaped conifers, and capricious mythical mist — the landscape is constantly shifting with the winds and fog.

I sought a photographic rendering inspired by traditional prints, aiming to express the full magic of the site’s spiritual and dreamlike dimension.

Awagami paper (A4 and A4 format)

The small formats are printed on Awagami paper, an exceptional traditional Japanese paper.
Made from mulberry fibers and entirely handcrafted using ancestral methods, its deckled edges and organic texture make each print unique.

A4 and A3 formats on Awagami paper are available as loose sheets only.

Framing between two panes of glass, recommended to reveal the deckled edges, is too fragile for shipping.
