I had planned everything—the right season, solar activity… but I had forgotten about the moon. When it’s full, the auroras fade from view. After fifteen days of frustration and bad weather, the moon finally grew more discreet, and on the eve of my flight home, I at last witnessed the Northern Lights over Jökulsárlón.
The good surprise was that their spectrum appears far more vividly in photographs than in reality—you discover colors in the images that the naked eye never perceived.
A poetic composition from the “open edition” collection, offered in an unlimited print run.
This series stands out for being more accessible than limited editions, while maintaining a high artistic standard and identical print quality.
